The freezing of a woman’s eggs aims to maintain fertility. Such a choice can be associated with serious diseases (e.g.: endometriosis or breast cancer) but also with contemporary social trend, according to when women give emphasis on professional development, which is why waiting to have children at an older age has become popular. Egg freezing is recommended to be up to and at the age to 38 years, depending on the specificities of each woman. It is obvious that the earlier, the better. By this method we “freeze” time with respect to fertility. When a woman decides to become pregnant at a later date, the eggs are thawed and fertilized by the sperm of her husband / partner.
